Fixed Based Operation Guardian Jet Center offers
Executive Services to NASCAR Pilots

ONTARIO, Calif. (March 15, 2006)— Guardian Jet Center, a local fixed based operation, catered to the personal pilots of NASCAR drivers as two F-18 Hornets grazed overhead. Its 5.69-acre campus was dotted with Citations, Brasilias, Falcons and Lears, all in town for the NASCAR Busch Race at California Speedway in Fontana, CA.

The NASCAR weekend generated an influx in aircraft traffic, fuel consumption, and a boost in the local economy. NASCAR brought in 42 additional aircraft to Guardian Jet Center over the four-day period. This is a substantial increase compared to Guardian Jet Center’s 10-15 aircraft passing through on an average weekend.

What would seem to be a logistical challenge for any fixed based operation was no problem for Guardian Jet Center’s ground crew. They promptly serviced the aircrafts and coordinated accommodations for NASCAR teams on their tight schedules.

“The ground crew is working hard,” commented Stacy Sheard, Captain of the Bell 430 Helicopter chartered to transport the NASCAR drivers to and from the California Speedway. “They are moving aircraft around here like I have never seen.”

Guardian Jet Center takes care of everything so the pilots don’t have to worry about a thing. Its staff caters to the pilot’s needs, handling fueling, aircraft service and maintenance, as well as while serving as a liaison for all charters.

NASCAR pilots like Elwood Gibson, were able to wait for the departure call from their NASCAR driver and hoped it wasn’t due to a crash. The pilots watched the Busch Race on 72-inch flat screen television and enjoyed a complimentary hometown meal provided by Eagle Glen Golf Course’s recognized chef, Brunson Achiu— a signature service that is offered year round by Guardian Jet Center.

“Guardian Jet Center does a great job. They offer friendly hospitality and provide us with a good lunch,” explains Gibson, Matt Kenseths personal pilot of six years. ”We don’t normally get that this type of customer service from a FBO.”

Even in the midst of one of the busiest weekends with more than 500 people passing through the Ontario California-based FBO, Guardian Jet Center is able to maintain its exceptional customer service. It provides friendly staff members coupled with a selection of state-of-the-art amenities to entice and retain its customers.

“Pilots have several FBOs to choose from,” explains Shawn Beaver, Vice President of Guardian Jet Center. “We appreciate that they choose Guardian Jet Center, and that drives us to provide better service.”

Guardian Jet Center’s friendly personnel have left a positive impression on several of the NASCAR pilots. The NASCAR circuit is a close group of friends that share experiences, trade secrets and consult each other before they try a new fixed based operation.

“We like to meet other pilots and build relationships with the FBO’s we use frequently,” said Sheard.

The NASCAR weekend is great networking for pilots. Sheard, who charters for Van Nuys-based Elite Aviation, works closely with fixed based operations and charters for several of the NASCAR races. For Sheard, an accessible FBO with competitive pricing is key when planning her charters.

Guardian Jet Center has a contract with Avfuel, a fuel program that more FBOs are incorporating. Avfuel is an independent supplier of aviation fuel and services. The fuel program gives pilots and aircraft owners' greater buying power. Fixed based operations with Avfuel contracts, allows frequent customers purchasing volumes of fuel to obtain better rates through negotiating with Avfuel directly, opposed through the FBO.

Fuel consumption can be the livelihood for many fixed based operations. Guardian Jet Center expended close to 50,000 gallons of fuel as a result of the NASCAR weekend. Consider the impact on the local economy with its annual fuel volumes accumulating to 1.8 million gallons and a fuel flowage fee of four cents per gallon to the Airport Authority. Guardian Jet Center’s combined revenue for 2004 was approximately $14 million.

Although the NASCAR race is a significant weekend for Guardian Jet Center, it is just one of the contributing factors of growth for the fixed based operation. The expansion of the Inland Empire in warehousing distribution, commercial and regional development have all led to Guardian Jet Center’s increasing transient fuel usages and attraction of more clients to its Aircraft Management Program. These aspects in addition to the executive terminal are what bolster its business on a day-to-day basis.

Real Estate Developer and CEO of Empire Companies, James Previti established Guardian Jet to provide convenience in a fixed based operation for the private-jet traveler. Since its launch 20 years ago, Guardian Jet Center has experienced tremendous increase in new clients and aircraft traffic. It has evolved into a cost-effective and efficient one-stop facility for business executives, including NASCAR teams and crews.

“NASCAR drivers as well as corporate executives have high expectations of service when they travel,” explains Beaver. “Guardian Jet Center matches their expectations.”

In May of 2005, Guardian Jet Center enhanced its facilities with a new 5,500 square foot executive terminal that offers a selection of modern amenities to all Guardian Jet Center’s daily guests. It has walk up terminals, business operations that include a private conference room, fax and copier machines, free wireless Internet access throughout the lobby and a pilot’s lounge complete with a fitness room, shower and rest area with a flat screen television. Guardian Jet Center caters to distant and long-term travelers, not just the “in and out” crowd.

“I appreciate the extra pilot amenities such as a shower, television and workout area that are rovided by an FBO,” said Sheard. “We are on the road for long periods of time and we never know when we will have time to exercise and relax as you would at home.”

Aside from its amenities, Guardian Jet Center offers premium FBO services that include aircraft management and no ramp fees for general aviation. The aircraft management program allows Guardian Jet Center to partner with aircraft owners, sharing the responsibilities and cost of managing the aircraft. It is to the advantage of the aircraft owner to have a partner who can focus on the changes in FAA regulations and on the aircraft needs, so you can concentrate on your business. Aircraft management contributes to years of viable service, convenience and may generate a return on your investment.

Guardian Jet Center offers services that cater to the executive expectation. It represents quality with esteemed customer service. Guardian Jet Center will continue to offer more services to its clientele as it grows with the thriving Inland Empire.
